April 28, 2008
Dear Fellow Floridians,
I am a registered voter in the state of Florida who, like so many, thought my vote would not matter in the January 2008 Democratic Primary.
Florida's politicians chose to break the rules and move our primary to an earlier date. The Democratic National Committee fairly penalized us by excluding our state from the nomination process.
Senator Clinton now wants us to believe she has a 300,000 vote lead in the state of Florida. Wrong again... Just to let you know, there are others like myself who did not waste our time going to the polling stations to vote in an election that was not going to count. What a tremendous mistake!
Senator Clinton left her name on the ballot in Michigan (the other candidates removed theirs) and she agreed not to campaign in Florida, stating in October 2007, the elections wouldn't matter.
If you are a supporter of Senator Barack Obama, and you are a registered voter in the state of Florida and did not vote in January's Democratic Primary because you thought it would not count, please click on the link below to sign my petition.
This petition will be given to the Democratic National Committee.
Sincerely,
Mrs. M. Williams
